Electrofishing
Backpack electrofishing is an industry standard tool used by many fisheries management and research professionals for the purposes of studying populations, fish habitat inventories, fish presence surveys, and fish salvages. The incorrect application of techniques and settings on the electrofishers can harm both the operators and/or target fish species. This course aims to eliminate injury to fish and operators, while maximizing capture efficacy.
ESTI is facilitating the delivery of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s (NAIT) Backpack Electrofishing Fundamentals course across Western Canada.
